Help for small business in the five boroughs of New York City is just a phone call away, thanks to Mayor Bloomberg and his efforts to launch NYC Business solutions back in 2004. NYC Business Solutions was set up back then to make sure that NY City’s 200,000 small businesses had a resource for quick easy access to accurate information on a full range of business issues.
NYC Business Solutions can help you cut the red tape that sometimes plagues small businesses trying to get started or simply grow their existing business. It doesn’t matter if you have a new or exiting business. Whether you are experienced in your industry or completely new to the business world, NYC Business Solutions can help you, by supporting your expansion through helping you to locate space in the area. They can help by pointing you towards NY City’s incentive programs. They can also help you to recruit employees available throughout the city that are qualified for the positions you are offering. NY City’s Business Solutions center can also help you find procurement opportunities.

The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) created in 1953 is here to start build and grow businesses all over the nation but they have local offices all over New York. The SBA has field officers and partnerships with organizations throughout the United States that understand the need to preserve protect and strengthen small business.
The SBA offers many ways to help you start and grow your business. They will assist you in starting a business plan, basics of business, grants, loan eligibility, financial assistance and more. SBA offers help with contracts and regulations including registering your company, small business certificates, bids and proposals, contracting and business development programs. They offer help with all types of disaster assistance. Best of all They offer many types of online business training from free online courses to extensive college courses.SBA also uses SCORE, Small Business Developments Centers, Womens Business Centers and National Training Events for further education and assistance. There is also additional programs that may be offered for women, veterans, native Americans, opportunity gaps, young entrepreneurs and international trade. SBA can keep you up to date on new laws and regulations.
